New games. New website. New forums. New look. New... Pron. When eAu first began there was an air of electricity, excitement, that blanketed our arrival on to the scene as a united gaming community. It was equally important and comforting that we ol' gaming pals could have something as tangible as eAu become our home. We were undying in our passion for video games and communion.
We vowed in the beginning to extend eAu beyond the frontier; to progress to a level never seen before. The servers were unique and popular. The forums were active and friendly. Our clan was active and friendly. Our new website... well... it existed- sort of.
As we aged, as the clan aged, things began to change. The electricity had vanished to the point we were searching for flint and stone to start even the smallest of candles. The server began to fall under constant attacks. The clan began to suffer from internal erosion. Things were falling apart. The clan that had been so popular before with many incoming friends and join requests, seemed to be clamoring for life support. We began active crusades to recruit members only to find they came for a short time. Beyond the pretty glitter and glamor remained a clan that even new members could discern as ununited.
It seemed what we needed were a few serious shake ups. One after another, as terrible things continued to occur on the forums and on the servers, we decided to throw away our shackles and to look for an escape route. For the first time in a long time our clan came together united and vowed again to move forward. We chose new games to call home. We decided to increase our gaming community activity and participation. We decided to create that same inviting and friendly home when we first started the clan.
The new website is the new base, the fortress, the frat house. Up until now the website and the forums, our two off server contact centers, remained as separate entities. In the end the forums remained the active portion whereas while the website existed, it existed only in vain. Nobody visited nor cared to visit. Who would when nobody cared to work on the website nor cared to visit it from our own clan? We decided to streamline our efforts. The website, the forums, the social network, our games and applications (such as Steam), needed to be integrated into one. Separately, they are divided and weak, but together as they come together they build a strong network.
Our new years resolution is to re-create eAu. To streamline eAu into the new age and while maintaining our friendly and inviting approach to gaming we wished to create a place for enhanced socializing and interactive experience. We want an active community that can have fun and be secure at eAu. No longer will we be half-assed. We got our full-asses on this time.
