Revival

A little bit of mouse tail; some rabbit's foot; a human skull; a can of kick-ass... and POOF! We have a potion for revival!

 Revival? Revival of what?

It's sad to answer that question. This used to be a clan... no, more specifically, a family and communion of friends who enjoyed to kick back after a long day of hard work and make little 13 year-olds online shit their pants as we cram their brains with a penetrator.

Yes, we used to be bustling. We had grown so large and busy enough that we mattered. People wanted to join us everyday. We gamed every night and while we built on our skills we developed relationships. But all that seems to be lost in time. This website manages to symbolize this clearly... it's as if time is moving slowly, or not at all, and everybody feels lost. Members fail to drop in... Few drop out all together...

But much of that credit also goes to people moving on in their respective lives. I myself will most likely never be able to game at the level I used to. A part of me has been left behind. But there's still much more I have left to give. I believe that gamers come in cycles. While some finish their periods of gaming in lives where they can game non-stop (ex: Dudeabides... miss ya man), new fresh recruits are popping out fresh from the soil somewhere in the world. The question then becomes, how do we grab their attention?

What made our clan successful before? We all played at around the same time, same place, and same game. We were one, united, and experiencing an orgy beyond expressible (well at least Newnmpr0ved was). So why not use the same elements that made not only our clan successful before, but many other clans out in the gaming world successful? Pick a HOME BASE! Easy enough? Many clans become large enough to migrate to multiple games at the same time, but then again those clans mastered the art of one game before they moved to two or even three games. We need to do the same.

Below I've created a poll. The poll picks two of the most played games within our clan today (I searched through steam accounts to count hours amongst ourselves).

While in terms of hours Modern Warfare 2 dwarfs Bad Company 2 (given also that MW2 was also released earlier) I personally choose Bad Company 2. I've done a lot of watching videos, reading reviews, comparisons, forums, etc. and then sampling both games to feel that Bad Company 2 not only suits our needs better, it is the better game.

So I say SCREW THE POTION! What we need is to make a choice. Visit the poll and reply to this article in the forums and let your voice be heard!

I tend to pull more toward COD than BF but then again you have the same question posing itself again in a few months with the release of cod black ops and medal of honor. Both are the next step to the games in the poll. I will not be getting either immediately considering that I will be moving when they are released. I will be willing to buy and or play any game that eau has a presence in considering that is when I have the most fun. Time wise will be hard for me in the future. Once October hits I will basically not be on for 2 months, then I will be looking for a new job and hitting the gym hard. Those two will take much of my game time away as will my wife and children. But I will be still around, maybe not as much but enough to be called a hacker in every game I play without ever having installed one!

Miss you Kraft!!!

Miss ya too.

Well I like the fact that BC2 has dedicated servers as opposed to MW2.

And now black ops is coming out for COD and of course Medal of Honor. There's also FEAR 3.

COD changes to quickly IMO to be a good base for gaming. It can still be a secondary game, especially if it continues to support a lack of dedicated servers.

BC2 has had lots of support growing especially for clans b/c:
a) forces team play and cooperation to be successful
b) easier for noobs to actually get into the game and make a difference immediately
c) dedicated servers

Now I'm not sure how Medal of Honor or FEAR 3 multiplayer will develop. Both will be released around the same time this year (October) so we could just delay our decision until then. It may be a good idea to. But at least we should try narrowing down games that we have currently.

I'm for BC2. If BC2 wins out against MW2, then we will pit BC2 against Medal of Honor and FEAR 3. Then we dedicate ourselves to one game and grow. That is one option. Or for those seeking more immediate results, we will just have to choose between MW2 and BC2.

EVERYONE!!! Please post in this thread about your preference! MW2? BC2? Wait for F3AR? Wait for Medal of Honor?

At least vote below so we know which game initially we are leaning towards.

I think MW2 is ok it´s a fun game, but without Dedicated Servers it sucks. If they just fixed Dedicated Server to MW2 that would be great but I don´t think that will happend.
BC2 I don´t have that game and with my crappy PC I don´t know if my PC will handel that game, even Slave have told me, but I can give it a try, I want that game so I just haft to wait and see how my PC works with the game.
First F.E.A.R bringed us all together and the Dedicated Servers was great, so I hope F.E.A.R 3 will be the same as the first one. Even tho IF we don´t choose F.E.A.R 3 as a game we shall play together I think still I will get it.
Medel of honor it pretty ok. I have played the beat of the game and it was ok but it was kinda hard to play it cause the maps is kinda big and I thought it was hard to kill someone lol but may be it´s just me how sucks hehe, but now the guestion is if Medel of honor will have Dedicated Server.
So for me it dosen´t matter what game we gonna choose. But right now im in to F.E.A.R 3 and I really hoping it will have Dedicated Servers.
